Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GhostBust (ghostbust.us), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

Service Description

GhostBust is an AI-powered job seeker intelligence platform that helps users identify potentially fraudulent, inactive, or misleading job postings — commonly known as "ghost jobs." Our services include:

• Ghost job detection and scoring via AI analysis
• Application tracking and management tools
• Career HQ — AI-assisted resume review, job analysis, career coaching, and job search advisory
• Community features including posts, comments, and direct messaging
• Job search tools with saved searches and search history

GhostBust is provided as an informational and productivity tool. We do not guarantee employment outcomes or the accuracy of any individual ghost job assessment.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use GhostBust. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

GhostBust is intended for personal job seeking use. Users may not use the platform to bulk-scrape data, resell GhostBust features, or operate competing services — unless you hold an active Enterprise account. Sharing your own work, portfolio, or professional background in the community is welcome.

User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information during registration
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits. GhostBust reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Free & Paid Tiers

GhostBust is currently free for all users. All features — including ghost job detection, Career HQ, application tracking, and community access — are available at no cost during the founding period.

• Founding Member: Users who join during the founding period receive a permanent Founding Member badge on their profile. When GhostBust introduces paid tiers in the future, Founding Members will be immediately upgraded to the Pro tier at no cost. This status is non-transferable.

GhostBust reserves the right to introduce paid tiers in the future. Registered users will be notified with at least 30 days' notice before any previously free features become paid-only.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use GhostBust to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent job listing information
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other community members
• Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited promotional content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract our source code or AI models
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without notice.

Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, code, and AI models on GhostBust are the exclusive property of GhostBust and its founder. This includes but is not limited to: the GhostBust name and logo, ghost scan methodology, Career HQ AI modes, and all platform text and visual assets.

You retain ownership of content you submit (including resumes and community posts). By submitting content, you grant GhostBust a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of delivering services to you.

We will never sell your resume or personal content to third parties.

AI & Data Accuracy

GhostBust uses large language model AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to analyze job postings and provide career guidance. By using these features, you acknowledge:

• AI-generated ghost scores and assessments are probabilistic estimates, not definitive facts
• Career advice generated by AI is informational only and does not constitute professional career counseling
• GhostBust does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI output
• You should use your own judgment and seek professional advice when making significant career decisions

Privacy

Your use of GhostBust is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using GhostBust, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

GhostBust reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, including for violations of these Terms. In the event of termination for cause, no refund of any prepaid subscription fees will be issued.

Disclaimers

GhostBust is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

GhostBust is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with any employer, job board, or recruiting platform. Job data analyzed through our platform is publicly available information.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GhostBust and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the platform. This includes, without limitation, any loss of employment opportunity, career decisions made based on AI assessments, or data loss.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of GhostBust shall not exceed the total amount you paid to GhostBust in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to Terms

GhostBust reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users via email. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
